The "NOHUTOK2026 Student Congress," which aims to become a tradition and is being held for the second time this year by the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, took place on June 3-4, 2026. Within the scope of the congress, our department's final-year students had the opportunity to present their research, conducted in line with their graduation thesis studies, in an academic environment. The event, attended by the Deputy Head of the Agricultural Genetics Department, Dr. Ayten Kübra Yağız, and faculty members, began with an opening speech by Prof. Dr. Ufuk Demirel.

During the event, students shared presentations on the aims, methods, and findings of their thesis studies with faculty members. In the evaluation sessions held after the presentations, opinions and suggestions aimed at strengthening the scientific quality of the research were discussed; and students' knowledge and experience regarding academic research processes were enhanced. The NOHUTOK2026 Student Congress has provided an important platform for developing students' scientific research, academic writing, and presentation skills, as well as for spreading a research culture, strengthening scientific communication, and increasing the visibility of undergraduate academic work.
