Our faculty, which is the only state university in Turkey that provides 100% English education among faculties in the relevant field, aims to contribute to the development of our country in the field of digital agriculture with this new department. The newly opened Precision Agriculture and Agricultural Robots Department also aims to produce information and train competent human resources in the field of agriculture at an international level by providing education entirely in English.

Able to Lead Agricultural Technologies on a National Scale

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu said in his statement on the subject, “As Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, we foresee the needs of the digital age in advance and take steps accordingly.”

Rector Uslu, who stated that the Precision Agriculture and Agricultural Robots Department is a department that will guide agricultural technologies not only regionally but also nationally and internationally, said, “This step is a reflection of our university’s vision focused on artificial intelligence, informatics and software technologies. We aim to provide our students with an education that is not only theoretical but also practical and will shape the future. In addition, as in all other departments of our Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies, each student in this department will receive a scholarship of 5000 TL. Our students in the first 50,000 in the YKS success ranking will receive four times this amount, and our students between 50,001-150,000 will receive twice this amount.” and concluded his words.
