The workshop, attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu, KOP Regional Development Administration President Dr. Murat Karakoyunlu, executives from Development Agencies and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and provincial protocol members, focused on bringing academic knowledge together with regional potential and increasing the visibility of social contribution activities in higher education.
Our Faculty Leads the Digital Transformation and Social Contribution Session Following the opening remarks and Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu's address on our university's vision for social benefit, the workshop sessions commenced on April 1, 2026. Within this framework, "Session 3 – A: Digital Transformation and Social Contribution Workshop," held in Hall 1453 – A, was conducted under the chairmanship of our Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, Prof. Dr. Alper Aytekin.

Prof. Dr. Alper Aytekin shared innovative opportunities that can be achieved through the integration of data analysis, technological infrastructure, and smart systems in regional collaborations, guiding the discussions on integrating digital transformation into social benefit.
The event, which sheds light on our university's mission of conducting education, research, and social benefit in harmony, concluded with the sharing of best practices, mutual exchange of ideas, and the presentation of plaques in memory of the day.
As the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, we would like to thank our Dean, Prof. Dr. Alper Aytekin, for successfully representing our faculty and serving as the session chair in this valuable platform where strategic collaborations for the development goals of our region and country were developed.
