BOR VOCATIONAL SCHOOL / ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOURCES TECHNOLOGY / AEK1005 - MEASUREMENT TECHNIQUES

Learning Outcomes Of the Course
1Explains basic and derived units, recognizes important electrical unit standards.
2Groups errors. Calculates the mean, deviation and standard deviation. Recognizes standard symbols used to indicate the features of measuring instruments.
3Calculates the shunt resistance of the rotating coil galvanometer to use it as an ammeter. It calculates the preliminary resistance of the rotating coil galvanometer to use it as a voltmeter.
4Explains the principle of using the rotating coil galvanometer as a series and parallel type ohmmeter. Recognizes multimeters and performs the necessary measurements.
5Explains the values (effective, rms) of the sinusoidal signal. Explains the effect of frequency in measurement.
