ULUKISLA VOCATIONAL SCHOOL / HUNTING AND WILDLIFE / AYH2018 - FIRE ECOLOGY

Learning Outcomes Of the Course
11- Define the concept of fire ecology and explain its importance in understanding the functioning of fire dependent ecosystems
22- Examine and explain the effect of fire on vegetation and soil properties
33- Discuss fire as a disturbance agent in many ecosystems
4 4- Explain and discuss species adaptations to fire (plant succession) and illustrate it using a schematic model
55- Formulate prescription for the use of fire as a management tool (controlled and prescribed burning)
66 - To understand the effect of fire on forest fauna
77 - To predict the behavior of fire in different conditions
88 - Fire-resistant forest, learns the principles of forestration
