Course Objective
The aim of this course is to inform the students about theory and practice of financial markets and financial institutions, structure and development of Turkish financial system.
Brief Content of the Course
Basic concepts and historical development of money, Money Supply and Central banking; Monetary policy and instruments; Macroeconomic framework of monetary policy; CBRT and monetary policy in Turkey; Financial system and financial markets; Financial intermediaries and banking, the structure of the financial system in Turkey and the banking sector; Financial liberalization in Turkey; International financial system and foreign exchange rates; International monetary system; International financial markets and capital movements; Balance of Payments and International Monetary Fund
