BOR FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES / NUTRITION AND DIETETICS / BES2020 - PHYSIOPATOLOGY

Learning Outcomes Of the Course
Defines the concept of physiopathology, analyse the mechanisms of basic physiopathological processes in depth, and explain the impact of these processes on health in a comprehensive manner
Analyses the physiopathological processes of the innate and adaptive immune systems and consider the impact of dysfunction in both systems on health
Explains the processes of inflammation, tissue injury and repair, and analyses the physiopathological basis of these mechanisms and their impact on health
Analyses the short and long term regulatory processes of nutrition and comprehensively explain the physiopathological effects of these regulations
Discusses effective treatment strategies for this condition by detailing the systemic effects of clinical malnutrition
Analyses the physiology of stress and the physiopathological effects of stress and explain the potential consequences of these processes on health
Examines the physiopathological mechanisms of insulin resistance and diabetes mellitus and evaluate the role and impact of dietary strategies in these processes
Investigates the physiopathological processes of cardiovascular diseases, such as heart failure and coronary artery disease, and evaluate the effectiveness of dietary models in the management of these diseases
Examines the physiopathology of cancer and discusses the implications and clinical applications of dietary strategies in the treatment of cancer
Defines the types of anemia, analyses the causes and physiopathological mechanisms, and evaluates the role of nutrition in the development and management of anemia
