Course Objective
The aim of this course is to teach students the concepts, fundamental principles, and application areas of information security and cyber security. Students will gain awareness of protecting information assets in digital systems, identifying security threats, implementing preventive measures, and applying national and international security standards. Additionally, the course aims to provide students with basic knowledge of computer networks, cryptology, information law, and AI-supported security systems.
Brief Content of the Course
This course covers topics such as the fundamentals of information security, computer hardware and software, network structures and network security, operating systems, file systems, cryptology, and types of cyber threats. Additionally, it provides an introduction to information law, personal data protection, digital forensics, the Internet of Things (IoT), and AI-based security approaches.
