2Understand the concepts of force, moment, and equilibrium and their importance in engineering problems.
3Classify structural systems and calculate their bond strength.
4Calculate the center of gravity of objects.
5Investigate the equilibrium conditions of frictional systems under static loads.
6Find the moments of inertia of geometric shapes.
7Understand the relationships among distributed loads, moments, and shear forces, and draw cross-sectional stress diagrams.
8Identify and solve simple and combined states of resistance.
