Course Objective
The aim of this course is to teach the mathematical modeling and analysis of continuous-time signals and linear time-invariant systems; and to provide the ability to interpret system behavior by using convolution, Laplace transform, state-space representation, and Fourier transform.
Brief Content of the Course
Signal types and basic signals, energy and power calculations, time shifting and scaling operations, classification of signals, unit step and unit impulse functions, input-output and state-space models of systems, convolution integral and time-domain analysis, Laplace transform and transfer function, block diagram reduction techniques, stability analysis, Fourier transform and applications.
Prerequisites
None.
