Course Objective
This course presents the basic characteristics of writing, differences between written and spoken language, narrative skills, elements of paragraph writing, paragraph development, text types (letters, formal application letters, reports, academic texts, formal texts), text features, maintaining unity and coherence. The course aims to develop students’ writing skills in Turkish.
Brief Content of the Course
Definition and importance of the language; Language culture relation; Writing language and its properties, external structure and rules in written expression, marking rules and punctuation marks; Plan in writing, theme, point of view, helpful ideas, paragraph writing; Composition concept, composition writing rules and plans; Compositional frame, theme, paragraph review, composition correction exercises, general expression disturbances, thinking and expressing what you think; Introduction to the articles, introduction of the articles, various writing types (memo, anecdote, story, criticism, novel etc.), formal writings (resume, petition, report, announcement, bibliography, notification, official writings, scientific writings, And working on result parts, article writing work, note taking and summarizing methods and techniquesconvincing text.
