Course Objective
The aim of this course is to develop a comprehensive understanding of the developmental, educational, social, and emotional characteristics of children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD); and to equip participants with evidence-based knowledge and skills in diagnosis, assessment, instructional adaptations, and behavior management. Furthermore, the course seeks to promote a holistic support approach through family education and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Brief Content of the Course
Within the scope of this course, the definition, risk factors, causes, and developmental characteristics of ADHD are examined. Emphasis is placed on the processes of diagnosis and assessment for children with ADHD, as well as on educational interventions, instructional adaptations, and behavior management strategies. Additionally, topics such as family education, peer relationships, and comorbid conditions are explored. Finally, practices related to interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork in supporting children with ADHD are discussed.
