Course Objective
The aim of this course is to enable science teachers to continuously improve their subject knowledge, pedagogical skills, and awareness of current teaching approaches. It focuses on enhancing teachers’ abilities in scientific thinking, conducting research, integrating technology, applying assessment and evaluation methods, and using innovative teaching strategies effectively. Additionally, the course aims to foster professional awareness, lifelong learning habits, and the ability to implement student-centered science teaching.
Brief Content of the Course
This course covers the professional development processes of science teachers, improvement of subject knowledge and pedagogical competencies, current teaching methods and techniques, STEM and technology integration, assessment and evaluation approaches, classroom practices, professional ethics, and lifelong learning. It also includes self-evaluation and preparation of a professional development plan.
