Course Objective
The aim of this course is to educate individuals who can understand the biological effects of radioactive decays, radiation dose and calculation techniques, the use of nuclear imaging devices, and the concept of sustainable health, in order to develop accurate diagnostic and therapeutic methods, use healthcare resources efficiently, and contribute to environmental sustainability.
Brief Content of the Course
Radiation, electromagnetic spectrum, atom, nucleus. The physics of the human body, radioactive decays, and their effects on the body. Half-life, radiation dose, biological half-life. Dose and equivalent dose calculations. Tomography, scintigraphy, SPECT, and PET.
