Course Objective
The purpose of this course is to equip students with knowledge about land readjustment practices conducted under Article 18 of the Zoning Law and to teach the process through practical examples. Students gain competence in preparing land subdivision plans, calculating land contribution ratios, and conducting legal and cadastral procedures related to land rearrangement. Land readjustment within the scope of this course supports sustainable urban development by promoting planned and balanced growth. Long-term environmental, social, and economic sustainability is encouraged through the preservation of natural areas, efficient infrastructure planning, and the enhancement of urban living standards.
Brief Content of the Course
Urban Development Legislation, Fundamental Provisions of Zoning Law No. 3194, Legal Basis of Article 18 Implementation, Calculation and Deduction Rates of Land Readjustment Shares (DOP), Parceling Plans, Technical Regulations, Property Owners’ Rights and Distribution Principles. This includes the legal and technical aspects of implementing zoning regulations for sustainable urban systems, the use of digital data, the reflection of Land Readjustment Shares (DOP) on maps, software applications for parceling operations, planning principles, fair property distribution, resource management, and sustainability in urbanization processes.
