Course Objective
The aim of the Analytical Chemistry Laboratory II course is to teach the fundamental reactions involved in quantitative analysis, solution preparation and calibration procedures, and the fundamentals of gravimetric and volumetric analysis. It aims to equip students with the ability to perform quantitative elemental analyses independently.
Brief Content of the Course
To identify the materials and devices to be used in gravimetric analysis, Gravimetric determination of iron, Gravimetric determination of lead, Preparation and adjustment of acid and base solutions, Strong acid-strong base titrations (Neutralimetry), Alkalinity determination, Determination of chloride ions with silver nitrate (Argentometry), Determination of iron with potassium permanganate (Permanganometry), Iodometric determination of copper (Iodometry), Determination of calcium and magnesium with EDTA (Complexometry)
