Course Objective
The purpose of the Maths for Chemists course is to provide students with the ability to comprehend, problem solve, interpret and apply basic mathematical equations and laws to chemical events within the framework of the concepts and models given.
Brief Content of the Course
Equations, functions, graphics.First and second degree equations. exponential functions. Boltzmann equation. Exponential functions in thermodynamics. Logarithms. Using logarithms in chemistry the p function. Logarithms in thermodynamic and kinetic equations. Velocity-temperature relation. Beer-Lambert Law.
