Course Objective
Examination of the material problems in the traditional buildings, understanding of principles and methods taken into account to detection and analysis of the problem and solution methods for the elimination of the problems.
Brief Content of the Course
The use of materials in traditional constructions and their deterioration process, stone, wood, traditional binders, mortars, plasters, repair mortars, stone cleaning, consolidation, use of remanufactured components, preservation and maintenance of traditional buildings, the introduction of laboratory research techniques used in the study of historical building materials.
