Course Objective
To provide knowledge about Turkish Folk Music Forms and Genres.
Brief Content of the Course
The concept of form and genre in Turkish Folk Music; analysis methods in Turkish Folk Music; being able to recognize and make the structural and literary analysis of genres such as Semah Deyiş, Zeybek Teke Zortlatması, Halay Ağıt Karşılama, etc. from Kırık Hava examples, Barak Bozlak Hoyrat Maya Ağıt, Gürbet Havası, Yol Havası, etc. from Uzun Hava examples within Turkish Folk Music.
