Course Objective
Developing a repertoire of Turkish Folk Music and being able to sing it correctly. Using the correct voice and breathing. Gaining the knowledge, skills, and discipline of group performance.
Brief Content of the Course
Studies on producing sound based on correct breathing, using the voice in the right place and with the correct intonation, enhancing and enriching the resonance areas, and obtaining a fused sound with the choir; the Turkish music sound system and voice types; demonstrating basic behaviors in performing individual and collective pieces; developing interpretation skills; acquiring choral culture and discipline; performing Turkish folk music pieces according to their regional characteristics; creating a repertoire of Turkish folk music pieces appropriate to the level in different regions, forms, usuls, makams and scales.
