Course Objective
“The aim of this course is to enable students to develop advanced reading and writing skills in Braille and to use these skills functionally in educational and daily life contexts. In addition, it is aimed that students acquire knowledge, skills, and competences in designing instructional strategies for individuals with visual impairments, developing appropriate materials, and supporting Braille literacy.”
Brief Content of the Course
History and Structure of the Braille Writing System, Advanced Braille Reading and Writing Practices, Representation of Mathematical and Scientific Symbols in Braille, Design of Instructional Materials and Individualized Teaching Plans, Assistive Technologies and Functional Life Applications.
