Course Objective
Psychology, which examines the causes of behavior, aims to contribute to students' understanding of themselves and their environment, their healthy development, and their positive communication. The Social Psychology course examines behavior and explores how an individual's behavior is influenced by others. Social psychology is concerned not only with behavior but also with an individual's feelings, thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, and goals. It explains the psychological aspects of social behavior in relation to cognitive processes. It aims to support individuals in better knowing and understanding themselves, in acquiring knowledge and skills about how society can influence their behavior, and in supporting them in adapting more successfully.
Brief Content of the Course
This course covers social psychology, social cognition and social thinking, empathic communication, prosocial behavior, self and identity, persuasion and attitude change, social influence, groups, group communication, attitudes, leadership and decision-making, aggression, interpersonal attraction, communication, and culture.
