Course Objective
To teach the subjects within the scope of Western and Turkish music theory within the framework of theory and practice.
Brief Content of the Course
In this course, both theoretical and practical aspects of Western and Turkish music theory will be covered. Within this framework, the following topics will be discussed: chords (triads), inversions of triads, basic triads in major and minor tonalities, cadences and their types, cadences on the grand staff, dominant seventh chords and their inversions, and syncopation.
