2Explain daylight metrics (DF, DA, sDA, UDI, ASE, DGP) and their appropriate use.
3Develop façade, aperture and shading strategies to optimise daylight while controlling glare.
4Integrate daylight with electric lighting controls to improve visual comfort and reduce energy use.
5Apply climate-based daylight simulation tools to predict performance and validate design options.
6Select interior materials and layouts that enhance daylight distribution and task visibility.
7Evaluate projects against codes and rating systems (EN 17037, LEED, WELL, BREEAM).
8Communicate daylight design decisions through calculations, visuals and technical reports.
