Patent Success from Our Faculty Members

The patent application titled "Seed Coating Material with Biopolymer-Based Controlled Release System" by Faculty of Agricultural Genetic Engineering Department faculty member Dr. Ayten Kübra YAGIZ and Plant Production and Technologies Department faculty member Prof. Dr. Sevgi Çalışkan, has been granted national patent registration by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT).

The patent application, submitted through the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) operating under our University's Research Dean's Office and registered by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, aims to contribute to sustainable agriculture by developing a new seed coating material with innovative features and a controlled release system. This project, which also offers innovative approaches, especially for the agricultural sector, has received a favorable report indicating its potential for international patent status.

Our faculty members were presented with a certificate of appreciation by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hasan USLU, for their effort and success.
