Financial Management in Local Governments: Niğde Mayor Emrah Özdemir Was a Guest of Our Faculty This week, we had the pleasure of hosting Mr. Emrah Özdemir, the Mayor of Niğde, as part of the Local Government Finance course, which is overseen by Dr. Özlem Tümer, a faculty member of our Faculty's Department of Finance. In the course, which covered the financial structure of local governments, budget management, and the financial aspects of projects carried out specifically in Niğde, our students had the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with experiences from the field.

Our club has successfully completed the 6th term of UNIDES projects


Our Faculty's Economics and Arts Club successfully performed their project, "Circular Art: From Recycling to Economic Value," accepted within the scope of the 6th Term UNIDES program, at the Çemberlitaş Youth Center in Istanbul. We congratulate our students.

As part of the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP) interim evaluation process, our Deputy Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Elif ŞEŞEN, held a presentation and information meeting for our Faculty's Quality Commission and student representatives prior to the interim evaluation.

Within the scope of our university's "2026 Award Ceremony," our faculty members received 3 awards.


Within the scope of the "2026 Award Ceremony" organized by our University, our Faculty members were deemed worthy of awards in 3 different categories for their high-quality work. Prof. Dr. Burcu Berke received the Scientist/Artist Award and the Project Performance Award for her successful work as well as her contributions to scientific and artistic literature; Prof. Dr. Okyay Uçan received the Article Performance Award for his competence and productivity in academic publication literature. We congratulate our esteemed professors for their valuable contributions to the academic prestige of our Faculty and the universal scientific world.

Our Faculty Member Receives TÜBİTAK 2219 Support


The project titled "Youth's Sentiments Towards Far-Right Political Parties: A Comparative Discourse Analysis Through the Examples of Spain and Turkey," led by Research Assistant Dr. Nurdan Selay Bedir, a faculty member of the Department of Political Science and International Relations at our faculty, has been awarded funding under the TÜBİTAK 2219 - Overseas Postdoctoral Research Scholarship Program.

A unit quality visit was conducted to our faculty by the Quality Coordination Office.


In our faculty, comprehensive evaluations were conducted in line with the on-site assessment of quality processes, the provision of feedback, institutional development, and sustainable improvement activities.

Quality Meeting


To ensure the participation of our students in processes and decision-making mechanisms within the scope of our university's quality initiatives, a meeting was held on October 21, 2025, with the student quality representatives of our faculty departments, attended by our faculty's Vice Deans, Prof. Dr. Okyay Uçan and Prof. Dr. Fındık Özlem Alper. Following the meeting, our Dean, Prof. Dr. Mutlu Başaran Öztürk, hosted the quality representative students in his office and thanked them for their contributions.
