This course covers fundamental knowledge of electricity and electronics, an introduction to embedded systems, the basic concepts and architectures of autonomous systems, autonomous vehicles and driving techniques, sensor and actuator technologies, and safety and risk management in autonomous systems. Additionally, topics such as simulation tools; learning, decision-making, and control algorithms; robotic systems and modeling; navigation methods; mapping and path planning algorithms; and positioning and localization are addressed.

Additionally, practical work is conducted through sustainable industrial automation projects.

Throughout this course, students will be introduced to the fundamental concepts of mobile application development, including Android and iOS platforms, Native-Hybrid-Web application differences, development environments (Android Studio, Flutter, etc.), user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design, Activity/Fragment lifecycle and navigation, local data storage methods (SharedPreferences, SQLite, Room), web services and RESTful API usage (JSON, Retrofit), asynchronous programming, notifications, permissions and sensor usage, IoT integration in mobile applications (Bluetooth/Wi-Fi, MQTT/HTTP), application testing, debugging, and finally app signing and Play Store/App Store publishing processes on a weekly basis; throughout the semester, theoretical knowledge will be supported by hands-on assignments and a term project, enabling students to gain the ability to develop simple-to-intermediate level mobile applications.

The concept of social responsibility, as the name suggests, refers to individuals’ responsibilities toward society. It can be defined as the fulfillment of the responsibilities that individuals must assume in order to maintain social balance within society. In other words, social responsibility refers to the coming together of individuals, civil society organizations, and the private sector in society to act toward a common goal without considering profit or personal gain.
Volunteering is a two-way process that contributes to the psychosocial development of young people. In addition to the social benefits derived from volunteer work, the interpersonal skills of the young people participating in these activities develop; they grasp the meaning of sharing, learn teamwork and cooperation, gain new life experiences, have the opportunity to meet people with diverse backgrounds, learn how to organize, become familiar with various institutions, gain a better understanding of society and the world, develop their values, and build self-confidence.
Social responsibility is carried out entirely on a voluntary basis and is aimed at encouraging society to do good, fostering generosity, and inviting people to be sensitive to specific issues. With a sense of social responsibility, it is possible to mitigate negative situations that may arise in society. Through this course, students will learn to address social issues, raise awareness among young people, and understand the importance of generosity and solidarity in carrying out volunteer activities.
