DUÇEP “Professional Practices” Workshop Hosted by Biruni Üniversitesi

On 16–17 February 2026, the DUÇEP “Professional Practices” Workshop was held at our University’s Conference Hall under the auspices of the Diş Hekimliği Fakülteleri Dekanlar Konseyi (Council of Deans of Dental Faculties). The workshop, attended by the deans of dental faculties from across Türkiye, served as a significant academic gathering in the field. Our Faculty’s Chief Physician, Kevser Kurt Demirsoy, also participated in the workshop.

During the event, the scope, current structure, and challenges encountered in the implementation processes of the “Professional Practices” component within the framework of the National Core Curriculum for Dental Education (DUÇEP) were comprehensively discussed.

Throughout the workshop, evaluations were conducted and views and recommendations were shared on strengthening standardization in educational processes, enhancing the quality of clinical practices, and harmonizing student competencies at the national level.
