At Niğde Ömer Halisdemir Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi, 3rd-year dental students received Occupational Hygiene and General Awareness Training as part of the Clinical Observation Program. The training was conducted by Nurse Gülçin Akpınar.

Within the program, students were comprehensively informed about the importance of hand hygiene in healthcare, its role in preventing infections, proper handwashing techniques, the use of hand antiseptics, and fundamental hygiene rules to be followed in clinical settings. In addition, general guidance was provided on clinical workflow, patient and staff safety, and professional responsibilities.

Supported with practical demonstrations, the training addressed students’ questions and included examples based on situations they may encounter in clinical practice.

Our Faculty will continue to provide regular training activities aimed at enhancing students’ professional knowledge and awareness, while supporting the safe delivery of healthcare services.
